Every track on this album is pulling streams independently — no single song carrying the others. The consistency across all 12 tracks is the story here: the lowest performer still logged 410 streams, the highest hit 791. That kind of floor-to-ceiling range on a debut album release window signals a catalog with real depth rather than one-song traction.

Hey Dad

A son working through the complicated weight of a father relationship — the things said and unsaid.

About This Song

Some of the hardest songs to write are the ones you've been carrying the longest. Hey Dad is that song — a quiet, somber exploration of what fathers mean to their kids, and what kids carry when that relationship is complicated. The emotional range here is wide enough to work for multiple artists across different angles of the same story.

The kind of song that doesn't need to shout to hurt.

Lyrics

[In Development — Lyrics Coming Soon] A somber, intimate song about a son's relationship with his father. Working through the full structure now.

Keeping It Inside

A man carrying the invisible weight of family life, punching the clock, and saying nothing while everything builds.

Read Lyrics & Story ↓

About This Song

Keeping It Inside is one of the most complete songs in the in-development catalog. It captures something specific and underserved in country music: the quiet desperation of a man who loves his family but is quietly drowning in the life he built. Not anger, not substance — just the accumulated weight of doing what's expected while wondering when you got so lost. The bridge alone — "If I disappeared tomorrow / Would they say I did my best" — is the kind of gut-punch that defines a career single.

"I got questions I can't outrun / So I say nothin', and carry on."

Lyrics

[Verse 1] I smile when asked, how you been It's the "same old, same old" lie again Punch that clock to pay what I can Friday's check never touched my hand Every year goes faster than the last And this next chapter scares me to death [Pre-Chorus] Some questions never die They just get buried alive... [Chorus] I'm keepin' this locked inside While I carry the weight of family life Wonderin' when I got so lost Where did life and pain get crossed Will tomorrow ever feel alright Or am I just survivin' tonight I got questions I can't outrun So I say nothin', and carry on... [Verse 2] Life never really felt like this before Feels like survival than livin' more The kid I was had bigger dreams Than these same old routines Sometimes I wonder what he'd think This ain't the life he wanted for me... [Bridge] Do my kids see worry When they look in my eyes Am I buildin' memories Or just keepin' ends tied If I disappeared tomorrow Would they say I did my best Or just say he carried everything Until that heart beat out his chest [Final Chorus] I'm keepin' this locked inside While I carry the weight of family life Actin' like I'm fine Just another man gettin' by But the truth is I don't know Why I'm here or where I go I got a hundred prayers and no replies So I keep 'em all inside... and carry on...

Reflections

A man stares at himself in a mirror and runs out of excuses. One of the most lyrically sharp songs in the catalog.

Read Lyrics & Story ↓

About This Song

Reflections is the standout lyrical achievement in the in-development catalog. A man alone with a bathroom mirror, bourbon on his breath, running through every excuse he's ever used — and coming up empty. The writing is unflinching without being melodramatic. The bridge — "You can judge all you want / I've already judged myself" — is the kind of line that makes a publisher put down their coffee. This song has single potential in the right hands.

"That man in the mirror finally spoke / Said, 'Son, you're the man you hate the most.'"

Lyrics

[Verse 1] I'm lookin' at you, you're lookin' at me Bloodshot eyes starin' back through the steam You look like a man that's got nothin' to lose And I hate how much you look like the truth I point a finger, you point one back I slam my fist and the glass cracks For a second I swear you're somebody else Then the dust settles and I see myself [Pre-Chorus] This man don't run and he don't hide Just stares me down every night [Chorus] Reflections don't lie They cut right through the stories we hide Through the bourbon, through the pride Through every damn excuse I've tried That man in the mirror ain't hard to find He's been waitin' on me this whole time Yeah, the truth hurts worse than a knife And reflections don't lie [Verse 2] Family quit callin' years ago Friends learned not to come too close I blamed the world for every problem But the mirror knows what I don't There's a mean streak runnin' through my veins A trail of hurt behind my name I keep lookin' for somebody else to blame But he's standin' right here in this frame [Bridge] You can judge all you want I've already judged myself What you think can't come close To the man I hate the most I'm starin' at the man I became And there's nobody left to blame [Final Chorus] Reflections don't lie Not when the room goes dark at night Not when the tears clear from your eyes Not when you're out of alibis That man in the mirror finally spoke Said, "Son, you're the man you hate the most" Yeah, I looked away a thousand times But reflections don't lie [Outro] Even cracked — reflections don't lie

If You Ever Leave

A man realizes the woman he married didn't just join his family — she became the whole reason it works.

Read Lyrics & Story ↓

About This Song

If You Ever Leave is the tonal shift the catalog needs — warm, clever, and genuinely funny without sacrificing the emotional core. The concept is deceptively smart: a man realizes his wife has made herself so indispensable to his entire family that if he ever left her, his own family would side with her. It's a love song told sideways, the way the best country love songs work. Broad commercial appeal — this one plays well across multiple country demographics and has genuine radio potential.

"My mama'd keep your picture / And probably make me move."

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Friday night, back porch swing Fireflies and them birds singin' Your hand fit right into mine Like it needed it all this time My mama loves you more than me Calls you first when she needs anythin' You're the plan I never had And still give me more than I asked [Chorus] If I ever left you My whole family would leave me too My mama'd take your side My dad would probably cry My sister would disown me I'd be the loneliest man you'll see Girl, it would be too hard to believe If I ever left you My whole family would leave me too [Verse 2] You remember birthdays, I forget Buy the gifts and send the texts You keep peace where there ain't none Turn holidays back into fun You got my buddies bringin' flowers home Their wives all think you're gold You ain't just part of this family now Girl, you're the glue that holds it down [Bridge] I met you, and life got brighter You just make this family better Some folks marry into a family Girl, you stitched one together [Final Chorus] If I ever left you My whole family would leave me too My mama'd keep your picture And probably make me move They'd save you a seat at Christmas And tell me there ain't no room If I ever left you My whole family would leave me too

Above the Middle

A contentment anthem for everyone who stopped chasing the Joneses and found out the middle is exactly where they want to be.

Read Lyrics & Story ↓

About This Song

Above the Middle is the most immediately commercial song in development — an upbeat, folk-leaning country anthem about the dignity of ordinary life. In a genre that often celebrates either rags or riches, this song plants a flag for the middle: the porch swing, the dog, the Friday night that doesn't cost anything. The chorus hook is immediately singable and the message has the widest possible audience. This one has sync potential (advertising, TV) and festival energy. A different lane than the heavier catalog material — proof of range.

"I got a roof over my head / A dog that's my best friend / A little bit of money I'm allowed to spend."

Lyrics

[Verse 1] I ain't got no downtown view Or a whole lot to prove Just a little place with a little street And enough to let me be me Some folks climb and some folks fall Some get everything, some lose it all Me, I'm somewhere in-between And these days that sounds alright to me [Chorus] I'm above the below Below the upper Right where good and bad Meet each other Not too fast, not too slow Just livin' the life I know I got a roof over my head A dog that's my best friend A little bit of money I'm allowed to spend A hope for what's around the bend A little bit lost, a little bit seen I'm just livin' in between [Bridge] The older I get, the more I see The best things in life are free A good name, good friends, and time Mean more than money ever could to me [Outro] I take the ups when they're around I deal with the downs And somehow it all evens out

Dead Habits

A man facing the patterns he can't break — and deciding what to do about them.

About This Song

Dead Habits is the title track for the upcoming album of the same name. It sets the tone for the whole record — unflinching, direct, and built around the kind of self-reckoning that doesn't resolve neatly. A character song about knowing what's wrong and doing it anyway, until you can't.

"The title track that named the album."

A character song about someone everyone knew — and what happened to them.

About This Song

Bobby is a full character study in the tradition of great country storytelling. A song built around a specific person from a specific place, told with the kind of detail that makes it feel universal. Every small town has a Bobby. This one just finally got a song.

Dirt Road Queen

A woman who belongs to where she comes from — and the man who loves her for exactly that.

About This Song

Dirt Road Queen is a love song with roots in place and identity. It celebrates a specific kind of woman — one who never pretended to be something she wasn't — through the eyes of someone who recognizes exactly how rare that is. Strong female character, male vocal perspective.

"She was never lost — she was exactly where she belonged."

Break My Soul

A song about everything that tried to break you — and didn't.

Read Story & Notes ↓

About This Song

Break My Soul sits in the resilience lane of the catalog alongside The Poor Survive and Keeping It Inside, but comes from a different angle — less about survival and more about defiance. The accumulated weight of life trying to knock someone down and the quiet satisfaction of still being standing.

"Everything that tried — and everything that failed."

Behind Blue Eyes

What lives behind the face you show the world.

About This Song

Behind Blue Eyes explores the gap between how someone appears and what they're actually carrying — a theme that runs through much of the catalog, but here treated with a more intimate, almost confessional lens. Interior world vs. exterior presentation. Strong emotional resonance and co-write potential.

"Nobody knows what it's like."

The Writer

Why These Songs Exist

Jack Mason

Just a simple songwriter trying to make his way through the galaxy.

I grew up near Corning, NY on Buckwheat Hollow Rd. — a dirt road back in a hollow where nobody came unless they lived there. We didn't have much. A small trailer. An 8x10 room just big enough for a bunk bed. That was home, and I didn't know any different.

Here's the thing though — I didn't know I was poor. My father worked hard enough that it never felt like poverty. It just felt like life. The hollow, the dirt road, the trailer — that was just where we were. There was no shame in it because nobody made us feel any. My dad made sure of that without ever saying a word about it.

The 90s were everything out there. Music was the one thing that came through clear no matter where you lived or what your address said about you. I soaked up every bit of it — the culture, the feeling, the way certain songs made a small hollow on a dirt road feel connected to something bigger. That connection never left me.

I always heard music in my head. Full arrangements, melodies, the exact way a lyric should land. The problem was I couldn't play an instrument to save my life. So for a long time the songs stayed exactly where they started — in my head, on that dirt road, in that hollow.

"I want my songs sung by real artists. That's always been the goal. The demos are just proof that the songs are real."

AI changed everything. For the first time I had a way to get the music out — to make demos that let people actually hear what I'd been carrying around for years. The catalog you're looking at right now is what happens when someone who's been writing in their head for decades finally gets a way to put it out into the world.

Every song is rooted in lived experience — pain, hardship, good times, the specific kind of loneliness that comes from a town where everybody knows you. I'm not inventing characters. I'm writing about people I know, things I've been through, conversations that happened at the wrong time or the right one.

The goal has always been bigger than my own demos: I want these songs sung by real country artists. I want to write for artists who can take these words and give them the full life they deserve. If that's a conversation you're open to having, I'm ready.
